Hi, I’m Sophie.

My path into nutrition started in a laboratory. I spent years studying the science of microorganisms: how they behave, how they cause disease, and how they influence everything from your nervous system to your gut.

From there I moved into medical diagnostics. Learning not just the science but how to understand and help diagnose disease.

SCIENTIFIC FOUNDATION & FOCUS

My scientific foundation is what shapes how I work today as your nutritionist.

One part of my focus sits within gastrointestinal health. A system that extends well beyond digestion into IBS, food intolerances and liver function. Much of which circles back to the microbiome. It was always there in the background of my studies. Talked about but not yet fully understood. What has changed is how much science has uncovered since then. The research has caught up. The testing has caught up. And the ability to translate that science into practical, personalised nutrition has never been stronger.

The second part of my focus is neuroendocrine health. And the two are inseparable. The gut-brain axis connects digestive and neurological function in ways that are becoming increasingly clear in the research. What happens in your gut influences your focus, your mood, your energy, your sleep. I work across both because your body does not operate in separate systems.

Neuroendocrine health is where the nervous system and hormones meet. The endocrine system is the body's hormonal network and its reach is wider than most people expect. Touching energy, mood, weight, sleep and reproductive health. It became part of my practice for scientific reasons. And personal ones. As a woman I know firsthand how difficult it can be to navigate hormonal imbalance without clear answers. That experience sits quietly behind the work I do with clients in this area.
